ABOUT RUT CAMP

 

Rise Up Training is the one and only obstacle course race (OCR) training program in the Signal Hill and Long Beach, Calif. area. A program carefully crafted by some of Southern California’s best OCR coaches—RUT is structured to take your training to the next level through encouraging, challenging and individualized programming.

 

Whether you are looking to dominate your next Spartan Trifecta or want to begin the road to healthier living, RUT has what you need.

 

Through strength and endurance challenges, you’ll learn to push your limits. Through our Notch program and heart rate monitoring, you’ll learn to track your progress on twelve-week class cycles. Discover what you are capable of, challenge yourself to meet and exceed those goals you’ve had for years—and have a blast in a culture rich in team and confidence building.

Earn Notches by meeting monthly challenges

 

Each month, clients are challenged to reach for that month's Beginner, Advanced or Elite Notch. Whether it's conquering the rope or beating that row challenge—starting January 2017, clients will earn patches as a fun way to mark notch accomplishments.

 

Come out and make RUT your training home. Located within the No Limits Sports and Fitness Academy facility, you’ll have access to a full weight room loaded with free weights, stack loaded machines, cardio equipment, kettle bells, ropes, machine balls, a spinning room, 2000 square feet of AstroTurf running area, and so much more.

MEET THE COACHES

TIMMIE
BRANN

Coach Timmie is the owner/founder of RUT Camp and holds her NASM CPT, CES, and CPR/AED certifications. She comes from an endurance running/OCR background and, since 2007, has been training athletes to achieve heights they never thought possible. Read her Interview for Spartan Race Warriors.

 

 

ALISHA
LOPEZ

Coach Alisha is the owner of No Limits Sports and Fitness Academy, co-owner of RUT Camp and a USA Cycling coach. A certified personal trainer and Spartan coach, Alisha has inspired children and adults through her work in the health and sports industries for more than two decades.

 

MONK

Rodriguez

RUT Camp’s head coach, Monk, is passionate about providing athletes from all backgrounds the tools and training they need to take their goals to the next level. Certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Monk has been supporting and transforming athletes since 2007.

 

JANSEN

MAS

For more than 20 years, Coach Jan has successfully guided clients to improved fitness through safe and effective methods. Jan is a specialist in strength and conditioning training, post-rehab functional conditioning, performance enhancement, weight management and nutritional guidance.

 

NATE

ARES

Coach Nate is a long time athlete and highly team oriented coach who is passionate about moving others toward healthier, more active lives. Nate earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from California State University Long Beach and in his off time can be found tearing it up for an adult ice hockey league.

 

 

 

HUGO
Frausto

For 15 years, Hugo has been a dedicated coach, leader, and mentor to both children and their families. He has worked on youth development with organizations such as the L.A. Clippers, Chivas USA, Kids In Sports and South Gate Football. Hugo currently champions our Little Rutters program.
